I knew the power of nutrition.
Before becoming a mum, I had always been a big believer in food as fuel. As a nutritionist and personal trainer, I understood how much the right meals can support energy, wellbeing and everyday life.
Mummy Meals was created by Elena, a nutritionist, personal trainer and mum, after pregnancy and postpartum made one thing very clear: mums need meals made for mums.
The problem was not knowing food mattered. It was having the time, energy and headspace to make it happen.
Before becoming a mum, I had always been a big believer in food as fuel. As a nutritionist and personal trainer, I understood how much the right meals can support energy, wellbeing and everyday life.
When I was pregnant, I wanted to give my baby the best nutrition I could. I researched constantly. I planned. I checked. I tried to follow the right routines. But the more I looked, the more complicated it felt.
I turned to meal prep subscription companies during pregnancy and after giving birth, especially when I was sleep deprived and short on time. But most options felt like they were built for gym goals, weight loss plans or generic low-calorie "healthy" eating.
I wanted meals that understood pregnancy, postpartum and busy mum life. Food that felt balanced, nourishing and comforting, without making mum research every ingredient, plan every side or add another job to the fridge list.
Why Mummy Meals exists
The food industry talks to athletes, dieters and busy professionals. Mummy Meals talks to the one feeding everyone else.
High-protein boxes have their place, but pregnancy, postpartum and mum life needs more than macros.
“Healthy” is not enough when it leaves mum hungry. Meals should feel balanced, nourishing and actually filling.
Planning, checking, adding extras and figuring out what was missing still created another job.
Mummy Meals puts mum at the centre from the start: her body, her energy, her week and her fridge.
This is food designed around the weeks where mum needs support too. Proper meals. Less thinking. More care.
What we believe
Mummy Meals is built around simple standards: food should be nourishing, satisfying, easy to choose and realistic for the week you are actually living.
Not the leftovers. Not the “I’ll eat later” plan. Proper food for mum is the whole point.
Protein, fibre, plants and balanced meals matter. So does not having to think about them every day.
Pregnancy and postpartum food should feel warm, enjoyable and satisfying, not clinical.
If it does not work when you are tired, busy or interrupted mid-meal, it does not work.
The Mummy Meals promise
We are not here to make mum life look perfect. We are here to make eating properly easier inside the beautiful chaos.
Meals for pregnancy, postpartum and full weeks, with the needs of mum at the centre.
Balanced meals that nourish, not tiny diet portions or bland “clean eating”.
Food that is already there when the day gets loud, sleep is low or lunch nearly disappears again.
“Mummy Meals is the support I kept trying to find — proper food for pregnancy, postpartum and the weeks where mum needs looking after too.” Now it exists.Elena, Founder of Mummy Meals
